Echoing themes from Femme, “Unicorns” follows a transgender woman navigating isolation within a deeply traditional family. Affection and belonging, rather than offering solace, subtly reinforce her restraints. Much of her existence is spent concealed, yet the film gently reveals her journey with warmth and tenderness.
